Castleman's Disease Discussion  

Jim Johnston is the International Castleman's Disease Organization Executive Director. The International Castleman's Disease Organization (ICDO) is a patient advocacy forum designed for individuals who have been diagnosed with this rare disorder. Castleman's Disease (CD) is initially characterized by a benign single or multiple growths within the lymphatic tissue. It is normally found by scans in the neck, chest, abdomen or pelvis. This support group is intended to provide an interactive discussion for patients, families, and caregivers of Castleman's Disease. Information provided is for general education purposes only and should not be construed as medical advice nor is is this information intended to replace the advice of your physician. This forum will also serve as a platform to present and discuss pending, current, and proposed clinical trials for Castleman's.

    Dr. Kenneth Anderson and Dr. Nikhil Munshi Interview

    Dr. Kenneth Anderson is the Craft Family Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Chief, Division of Hematologic Neoplasia, Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Dr Anderson is also the ICDO Chief Medical Officer and Scientific Advisory Board, chair. Dr. Nikhil Munshi is an Associate Professor of Medicine, Dana Farber Cancer Institute. An open discussion with Dr Anderson and Dr Munshi will include an overview of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, specific affiliation to Castlemans Disease, DFC treatment plans and therapies. Dr. Anderson and Dr. Munshi will discuss the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s contribution to the research and treatment of Castlemans Disease at the DFCI / Harvard Medical School.

    Castleman's Disease Premiere

    Castleman's Disease (CD) is a rare disease categorized as non-Hodgkin. The International Castleman's Disease Organization (ICDO) is a patient advocacy network created to provide patient information on this rare disease, introduce CD “centers of excellence”, and refer patients to clinicians responsible for treating a diagnosis of Castleman’s Disease. This premiere International Castleman’s Disease show will introduce a new health program series to BlogTalkRadio (BTR) that will openly discuss issues related to patient advocacy. Our broadcast will reach patients of the International Castleman’s Disease Organization in the U.S. and abroad. An aggressive CD BTR schedule is planned that will present academic medical facilities involved with treating CD patients and introductions from each of the ICDO Board of Directors.
