Mr. Mancino is the International Castlemans Disease (ICDO) General Counsel representing the legal medical affairs of the organization. Mr. Mancino's interview will discuss the responsibility of the patient, patient advocate, and caregiver of a patient with Castlemans Disease. Specifically, physician / patient confidentiality, release of medical information and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Mr. Mancino represents major non-Profit organization in California where charity fund raising events are sponsored to support cancer research efforts. Mr. Mancino was a part of “ThinkCure”, a charity that will raise funds for cancer research at the City of Hope and Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. “They’re promoting ThinkCure as the official charity of the LA Dodgers.” “ They’re very interested in finding a cure,” Mr. Mancino said.
