Hoops in the Sun Summer League, created in July, 2000 at Orchard Beach in the Bronx. Abbreviated as HITS, the league has become one of the elite summer leagues in New York City and across the world. Hoops in the Sun is the only beachside basketball venue in New York City and on the entire East Coast.
