Some preachers believe there's a place in the church for celebratory preaching (i.e. whooping) in the pulpit and should be free to do so whenever the Spirit leads. Others believe that whooping distracts the listener from the overall sermon and focuses the attention from the Scripture to the speaker and isn't something that's revealed in Scripture shouldn't be practiced based on the teaching/preaching examples of Jesus, the apostles and the early church fathers until the days of slavery.
Is whooping a form of entertainment or can such a practice be a form of expository preaching?
Guests, Pastor Emmanuel Davis and Pastor Quinton Chad Foster will join us to discuss this topic from a biblical perspective.
