The Cross of Christ

"For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." 1 Cor. 1:18 and "But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." 1 Cor. 1:23-24

The Office Work of the Holy Spirit -01

Every single thing done on this Earth by the Godhead, with one exception, has always been carried out by the Person, the Office, and the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. His Work began with the renovation of the Earth; the Scripture says, "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters " (Gen. 1:2). The one thing the Holy Spirit did not carry out on this Earth, as it pertains to the Godhead, was the price paid by the Lord Jesus Christ at Calvary's Cross. Even then, the Holy Spirit functioned in every capacity of the Master's Life and Ministry. Christ's conception in the womb of the Virgin Mary was by the decree of the Holy Spirit (Mat. 1:18). When Christ began His earthly Ministry, it was the Spirit of God Who energized and anointed Christ for this all-important work (Mat. 3:16). As His Ministry began, it was the Spirit of God Who lead Christ into the wilderness "to be tempted of the Devil" (Mat. 4:1).
