The Cross of Christ

"For the preaching of the Cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." 1 Cor. 1:18 and "But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God." 1 Cor. 1:23-24

The Cross of Christ and Sanctification -01

Most Christians have an understanding of the Cross in connection with Salvation. How many Christians have an understanding of the Cross in connection with Sanctification? How many Christians are walking in victory, after the Spirit? How many instead, are walking in defeat, after the flesh? The meaning of the New Covenant, which is the meaning of the Cross (Gal. 1: 11-12), was given to the Apostle Paul. The Holy Spirit through Paul addresses many of the Epistles almost exclusively to the Cross of Christ and how it (the Finished Work of Christ at Calvary) refers to Sanctification. This should tell us just how important the subject of Sanctification truly is. Let us first examine the terms "walk after the Spirit" and "walk after the flesh" as found in Romans 8:1 " [There is] therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit" and Romans 8:4 "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."
