Hip Hop music has undoubtedly, made an impact in the Music Industry, in spite of early perceptions by many music taste makers, who thought  of it as just a phase. Now over 40 years later still the Hip Hop genre has proven its staying power. It has certainly earned it’s crown as a popular form of entertainment and is most deserving of it’s own Hall Of Fame. Hip Hop music definitely caught the industry off guard. Hip Hop was not just music, in fact, it was a movement that that crafted a culture of MC’ing, Dj’ing, Break Dancing, Graffiti, Sampling and Beat boxing and delivered it as a total package of rhythm, rhymes and fashion to the music industry.

 

Without question, Hip Hop has bridged a gap in society that wasn’t present previously. The preservation of the art is imperative. Tonight we will take a look at today’s Hip Hop, it’s past and it’s future direction.
