The Hip Hop National Radio Conference Call & Feedback Line will be discussing: I Have Written A Hot Song, How Do I Find A Record Producer?

The Record Producer is the one who takes charge of the recording session, 1."The producer has many roles that may include, but are not limited to, gathering ideas for the project, selecting songs and/or musicians, coaching the artist and musicians in the studio, controlling the recording sessions, and supervising the entire process through mixing and mastering." It Producers also often take on budget, schedules, and negotiations.

Finding the right producer for your project can be a very daunting task. A lot of artist don't really know or understand the function of a producer, what he/she does and why a producer is important to a project. In today's business the producer is often essential to the sound of an artist because he/she is creating the musical parts of the songs for an artist.

When seeking to hire a music producer be sure the producer has a good ear for music, he or she should posses careful attention to detail, must thoroughly understand the song concept and know the best way to construct the song. Chemistry is equally important and should be required that they completely understand the melody and or direction you wanted to take the tune.
