Sir Paul McCartney writes India's PM: Calls for India to declare a National Vegetarian Day. Panjal in Kerala is getting ready to host Athirathram, the world's oldest known ritual in April 2011.The last time the village hit global headlines was 35 years ago in 1975 when the yagna fire ritual was performed here, partly sponsored by the American Harvard and Berkeley universities and Helsinki University, Finland Prof Frits Stall of the University of California, credited with reviving the near-extinct ritual, had spent a year in Panjal supervising preparations and studying the effects of the ritual. He also recorded the melodious chanting of Vedic hymns during the ritual. Prof Stall came out with a two-volume tome titled Agni. Also featuring a new book by Raghu Giuffre. Raghu compiled his campaign writings from his run for US Congress in Hawaii to show a composite of cutting edge thinking left languishing with third party candidates cut off from media coverage. It offers a how-to for deficit reductions of $4 trillion in 6 months without service cuts or tax hikes or solve the banking real estate crisis without added gov't. Raghu-nomics is a sample to the incredible possibilities overlooked by the media blackout. Also details regarding Chandrika Krishnamurthy Tandon‘s album, Om Namo Narayanaya: Soul call (on Soul Chants Music). It was nominated for a GRAMMY in the Best Contemporary World Music Album. category.
