Today we are talking with Dr. Mitchell Greene, leading clinical and sports psychologist. Dr. Greene has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Temple University. For over 15 years, Dr. Greene has successfully helped athletes, coaches, and parents shift their mindset from fearing competition pressure to embracing it. In the world of endurance sports, Dr. Greene has worked with professional runners and triathletes, including Olympian Joe Maloy who just competed at the Olympic games in Rio this past summer. His company, Greenepsych Sports Psychology, is focused on mentally preparing athletes and coaches for competition. Dr. Greene believes becoming a great athlete takes more than just talent and confidence; it requires knowing how to manage self-doubt and negative thinking. Dr. Greene regulary presents workshops for high school and college athletes, parents and coaches. He also provides education on the mental health needs of athletes and how they should respond to what he calls "Mind Chatter".
