9 million people are victims of identity theft every year. And now, with thousands of free wifi hot spots across the country, thieves are finding a new and easy way to steal your information. Have you been victimized?

Information you'd send to and from your bank, information coming off of your credit card and any related financial information you'd rather people not have, goes over wifi, for almost anyone to see or steal.

These hackers can hang out at a WiFi spot from a local bookstore or fast food chain. Or, all a hacker needs to do is set up their own bogus wifi access point, such as one called "free public wifi." Then they just have to wait for you as an  unsuspecting computer users to log in. You might as well just personal information to the creator of the bogus WiFi spot.

You could be victimized by these locations and not even know it.
