This week we are excited to welcome Glynn Burrows from Norfolk Tours.  Glynn is a local historian and genealogist from the lovely county of Norfolk, England.

Glynn will talk about how local history and family history are linked, and as we put our family stories together how important it is to know the place where the people lived.

Glynn will also share a story or two from his own personal experiences.  As Glynn writes in his website, he is "extremely fortunate...to know exactly where some of...[his ancestors] lived and worked,... [and] can even have lunch in their local pub. To stand beside the font where my ancestor was christened in 1623, to kneel at the altar where my ancestors were married in 1620, to visit the grave and read the loving memorial to a forebear from his children in 1788, to visit the Norfolk country cottage where my ancestors raised a family of ten in the late C19th, all give me such a buzz."
