Corey Miller is spokesperson for Elements Caregiver Collective in Phoenix, AZ and has been and active supporter of the legalization of medical marijuana to help others like himself with chronic pain and health issues.
Miller, 32, has traveled around the world. At the age of 6, Miller’s family moved from New York City to the embassy in Lisbon, Portugal, where his mother worked for the State Department for 14 years. While in Europe he studied Communications and is fluent in five languages. In 2005 he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Studies from NYU. After completing Army Basic Training and Officer Candidate School, Miller deployed with his fellow soldiers to Afghanistan in 2006, where he was severely wounded. After six years in the Army, Miller received an honorable discharge in 2010.
Miller returned to the U.S. and started to explore alternative ways to his prevent pain from inhibiting his daily activities. With cannabis, Miller was able to stop taking his daily pill regimen and become a more active person. In 2010 Miller also began working with patient groups in Tucson, Ariz. to help them receive the benefits of Medical Marijuana under the Arizona Medical Marijuana Act passed that year. Miller is currently working toward his Masters Degree in Political Science at the University of Arizona, and he is actively involved with the Elements Caregiver Collective in Phoenix.
