Grief is the profound range of emotions or feelings we experience when we have had a significant loss or change. It is a normal and natural reaction to any kind of loss. Working through grief is an intense and complex journey. Melissa is a highly sensitive and skilled therapist who leads you through this expedition so that the loss may be successfully integrated into one's life. It is important to acknowledge that grief touches every aspect of our lives; the physical, spiritual, psychological and the emotional.

Recognize that your emotions will go up and down. Give your self permission to feel these emotions and know that each person's grief is unique. Remember there is no wrong way to grieve. Honor yourself and honor your feelings.

Melissa Axler is the founder of Beneficial Living & Wellness and is a certified Grief & Pastoral Counsellor who has been working in the area of end of life, grief & loss and pastoral care for 16 years. She has provided counselling across the life spectrum in many health care related settings and for the past 10 years in private practice.
