Keri Kasaboski is a transposition of the great arteries survivor. She had a Mustard Procedure at 4 years of age and then no medical interventions until she was 42 years of age. Suffering from depression, Keri gained a lot of weight and was ultimately diagnosed with Stage 2 Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). She was told the reason for the diagnosis was high blood pressure, depression, and obesity and she was put on Lasix and Ramipril.
Doctors told Keri she would need more surgery but Keri decided to take matters into her own hands. Facing a life-threatening heart condition, the possibility of more heart surgery and the fear that comes with the unknown, Keri could have given up, but instead she decided to fight!
