What a great show today with Tammy, who is an attorney for the arts and crafts industry. It's all about the paper trail we do that will protect us. Tammy suggested a couple of tips for artists.

    1. Get your portfolio together and document it
    2. Get your computer skills together, so you can use photoshop, or a way to have albums together to showcase your collection/s.
    3. How are you packaging your art?
    4. Have a basic agreement drafted up by an attorney
    5. Work with a licensing coach to get started 2- 3 hours is good

You can find Tammy at http://www.artsandcraftslaw.com

    Aletta De Wal

    June 22, 2009

It was a delight to have Aletta on my show today. Very informative - I would appreciate it, if you would check her out at: http://www.artcareertraining.com and http://www.artbuisnesslibrary.com

Aletta's classes cost less than a tank of gas and you will get more mileage if you follow instructions. If you are serious about making a living making art, you need to get down to business. She'll help you create a program that fits your budget.

    Questions?
Send them to mari-lyn@heartatworkonline.org and I will pass them along to Aletta.

I apologize, the show ended abruptly. Don't know what happened.
