Cynthia is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. She currently covers in-patient nutrition education and diabetes education at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg, Ontario for patients, staff and students.

Additionally, Cynthia has a private nutrition counseling practice at Pharmacy 101 in Cobourg and is the Dietitian for Alderville First Nations Health Centre where she provides counseling and workshops.

Cynthia is a former nutrition columnist. She is a member of Dietitians of Canada, the College of Dietitians of Ontario, the Canadian Diabetes Association Diabetes Educator section, the Diabetes, Obesity and Cardiovascular Network and Consulting Dietitians of Ontario.

Cynthia has also co-authored a book with Dr Ian Blumer entitled, Diabetes Cookbook for Canadians for Dummies. It is available across Canada and has already gone to third print.

Today we will be discussing diabetes and nutrition with emphasis on helping people manage their diabetes practically.
