ADHD: Exactly What Is a Strength?

    in Health

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is diagnosed based on appearance. There's a dog's breakfast of symptoms that people judge in order to apply the label. Often it's very confusing. Same goes with a strength. What is a strength? Is it a gift, a talent, a skill? In this episode of Attention Talk Radio, host and ADHD coach Jeff Copper talks with Michelle Raz (http://www.razcoaching.com) to put a strength into a context everyone can understand. Together, they discuss the elements of a strength and what to look for and they reveal how to cast yourself. If you're struggling with the ambiguity of definitions of things like strengths, talents, and gifts, this is a show that must be on your calendar, so be prepared to take notes.
Attention Talk Radio is the leading site for self-help Internet radio shows focusing on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and attention deficit disorder (ADD), including managing symptoms of attention deficit disorder, adults with ADD, or adults who have children with ADHD. Cancer-Related Fatigue and Physical Therapy

    in Health

June 15, 2017: The fatigue felt by people with cancer is so common that it has a name. Cancer-related fatigue isn’t unique to 1 type of cancer or cancer treatment, and it can occur even after treatment is complete.
When cancer-related fatigue strikes, it’s often extremely debilitating, significantly impacting quality of life, and creating a level of fatigue that rest alone cannot address.
Although it might seem counterintuitive, one of the most effective ways to manage cancer-related fatigue is through exercise.
In this episode of Move Forward Radio, a physical therapist explains why.

Lost Arts Radio Show #129 - Special Guest Bill Bengston

    in Health

Several weeks ago, one of our listeners told me about Dr. William Bengston (www.bengstonresearch.com), the creator of a system, a book called "The Energy Cure" (with Sylvia Fraser) and CD set called "Hands on Healing." What I was able to find out about the system sounded interesting to me, and seemed related to what we've talked about on the Saturday show, so I decided to investigate further. I purchased a set of Dr. Bengston's teaching CD's and followed the step by step instructions. I am still working on getting more proficient with his process, but it seemed clear to me that what Dr. Bengston has put together for people to learn his system and then use it in whatever ways they find most useful to them, is a valuable contribution to the quest to understand consciousness in general and healing in particular. I don't think there is any question that his system has saved many lives and improved the quality of life for numerous people. But I am still interested to find out how the type of healing he has proven, interacts with healthy of unhealthy lifestyle habits we have on physical, emotional or mental levels.
Bill's work (he wants to be called Bill instead of Dr. Bengston) feels very important to me, and he has demonstrated in a repeatable way, as real science is supposed to do, that consciousness itself is capable of changing "solid" physical reality. I wanted to share Bill's insights and personal experiences with you, and the best way seemed to be if we could have him on the show. Fortunately that request was granted, and you have a chance to meet him and learn from his amazing experiences (he calls them "interesting"). I hope you can make it, as this healing system has great potential for contributing to positive changes on a global scale, in my opinion.

Myeloma Crowd Radio: Drs. Anja Seckinger and Dirk Hose, University of Heidelberg

    in Health

Many patients are familiar with the monoclonal antibodies daratumumab and elotuzumab. These target a specific protein on the surface of myeloma cells. A new approach is in progress to target both a protein on the surface of myeloma cells (BCMA) while also activating the immune system's T cells. This is called a bi-specific antibody, going after two targets at the same time. Join us to learn more about this fascinating approach from German researchers Anja Seckinger, MD and Dirk Hose, MD of the University of Heidelberg. This could provide an off-the-shelf immunotherapy for myeloma patients that gives myeloma a double punch.
Special thanks to our episode sponsor, Takeda Oncology.
