Minding my own business is a full time job...and in my spare time its my hobby.

B.J. Hunnicutt on an episode of MASH

Because most of us are the  compassionate beings that we are, the idea of seeing someone distressed is distressing to us.  If we accept that there is light and shadow in all things, that has to include compassion.  When we take things on for others, are we really helping them?  On today's episode, we will be talking about the concept behind the old "Teach a man to fish" adage.  A muscle becomes strong, not through inaction but through being challenged.  Also, we need to take an honest look at what is the pay off for us.  Sometimes, by taking on the burdens of others, we unconciously give ourselves permission to avoid our own work.

As usual, I will be opening the phone lines to listeners that would like to share and seek input on this topic or issues that they are having with creating harmony and resonance in their lives and relationships.

Also, those that log into the chatroom will have the opportunity to post questions and have them addressed on the air.  Just let my producer Kyna know that you are posting a question.  As always, I will be logging into the chatroom after the show to answer questions.

For those that can't be with us during the show but listen on archives, you can email your questions to HealingHouseRadio@the-healing-house.com. I will get to as many as possible during each show.

While we would love to get to evryone that calls, we will only be able to get so many on the air.  If we can't address your call during the show, you can email your question or comment for the next show.

If you have a private issue that you would like to address offline, please note that in your email or let Kyna know in the chatroom.  One-on-one consultations are available.
