How do Christians face disappointment?

Dealing with disappointment and opening our eyes to the bigger picture - God's higher calling for us.  The Apostles experienced sore trials as Paul shares in II Corintians 1:8-9  Sometimes God allows disappointment in order to teach us to trust Him more fully.  In John 16:33 Jesus tells His disciples there is no doubt they will experience trouble in their life.  Are you on the threshing floor?  If so, do not be dismayed God will meet you there, at an altar, so that you may offer a sweet sacrifice.  Psalms 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
