Leaving a successful 20 year marketing & advertising career behind (including several TV networks and over 650 retail outlets), Chef Amy Jurist began pursuing her passion for food about 10 years ago and started her own full service catering company, Amy’s Culinary Adventures, in Los Angeles. Chef Amy’s culinary passion is moved by decadent foods, great sauces, and “yummy” amazing flavors. In addition to catering, Chef Amy also teaches cooking classes, does product and recipe development for cookbooks and companies like Trader Joes. Additionally, she provides weekly meals to private families interested in great quality food every night, without the mess of preparing it themselves.
For the past 5 years, Chef Amy has also been running her Decadent Underground Dinner Club. Her famous “Food Raves” are one night only “restaurants”, that you have to be “on the list” to get invited. Her events are so unique, because, unlike a regular restaurant, the people, the menu and the location will never be together again!
Her specialty is working with clients to create customized menus to ensure outstanding, memorable parties. She can make any food, from any country, and IN any country!. In fact, this summer she was flown to France to cater a client's wedding. She's catered an Indian wedding, done fully plated Pan Asian dinner for 85, A night in Italy for 125 people, and Greek and Moroccan dinners, too. And even won awards for her Potato Pancakes.
She graduated from Culinary School and has certificates in Professional Cooking and Professional Pastry.
