As fans anxiously await Raekwon, Method Man and Ghostface Killah's upcoming group album, Wu-Massacre, Meth revealed that the recording process wasn't quite what he expected. "Def Jam put a rush on it," said Tical to MTV News. "We didn't have a lot of time to work on it. We recorded with no budget. It is what it is. We did this for the fans. It felt good to get in the studio with Rae and Ghost. The future looks bright." The rush was likely due to recently successful Wu-Tang and Wu-related projects like Method Man and Redman's Blackout! 2, Ghostface Killah's Wizard of Poetry, and Raekwon's Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II. Elaborating on the project, Method explained that the purpose of the album was to put out something for the fans - not to slight the rest of the Wu-Tang Clan. "This album could have been done by Deck, U-God and GZA. Either/or, it's still Wu-Tang. The bottom line with this LP, it was something fans always requested. It's like, what else was we doing? It was a given. Hopefully, we can all get back in the studio and get enough time to really work on an LP." A three-part video series began to surface on the internet for the album's promotion in fall of 2009. On November 25, 2009, Allah Mathematics premiered the song "Mef vs. Chef 2" live on his radio show Math Files. The song features verses from Method Man and Raekwon, and is said to be from Wu-Massacre. On January 25, 2010, Def Jam released the first single, "Our Dreams" on their website, which will be appearing on the Wu-Massacre album.[9] On February 22, 2010, Def Jam released a free mixtape called, Avenging Eagles by Allah Mathematics featuring various older Raekwon, Ghostface and Method Man material as a warm-up to Wu-Massacre. Aside from "Mef vs. Chef 2," the mixtape also premiered the song "Miranda". On March 2, 2010 the next release from the album was "Criminology Part 2.5", an original Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II
