    Opening Seg: Derek recaps the latest Yankee win and breaks down what's gone so right since the break and why suddenly they're closing the gap on Boston and Cleveland. He also looks at what's coming up and gets into what the Yankees could still use as the deadline gets closer.

    Seg II: Derek goes across town to Queens and discusses the Mets' West Coast trip and updates how things are going at San Diego. Plus he ponders why the Reds would consider trading one of the better second basemen in the game in Brandon Phillips and reviews Omar Minaya's worst trade when he was in Montreal.

    Recaps the surprising Reds' sweep in Atlanta which helped out the Mets regardless of last nite's outcome and wonders if Mets fans should really be worried about the Braves and Phillies when they can't seem to take advantage.

    What do the Mets need at the deadline? Is the rotation really a weakness as some believe or should another area be addressed?

    Seg III: Exclusive Bonus Coverage as Derek does some play by play of the final two exciting innings between the Mets and Padres. A Hard Hits first.

    Final Seg: Derek switches gears and talks a little about the Rangers' trade of Matt Cullen back to Carolina. Good or bad move? Find out.

    Overtime segment topic: Derek introduces some new clips from legendary Buffalo announcer Rick Jeanneret and then pays tribute to why this Sabres' play by play man is one of the best in the industry.
