    When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.     Danger from the North

    On Independence Day our thoughts naturally turn to freedom.

     We think of how we fought for and won our freedom

    from Great Britain, an oppressor which is now our ally.

    Few of us think of another ally,

    Canada, in this regard.

    We don't recognize the danger Canada poses to our nation

    and its freedom

    Beginning in 1994,

     NAFTA opened our border

    s with our neighbors to the North and the South

    even more than they had already been.

    Since then much has been made of the dangers

     of illicit "imports" that cross our border with Mexico.


    But the liberal news media has ignored

    the greater dangers America faces
    from our Northern neighbor.

    The constant flow of illegal immigrants

     and drugs that flood through our borders

     with both Mexico and Canada

    has only gotten worse with the weakening
    of border control caused by NAFTA.

     And our open borders have become

    an open invitation to terrorists

    to enter the US from those countries.


    It has been documented that most of the 9-11 terrorists

    entered the US from Canada. But these dangers

    are ones that all intelligent people recognize

     as harmful to our country and our way of life.

    Today we will discuss some of the invisible dangers

     that emanate from Canadato the United States.

    These dangers are in the forms of ideas and attitudes
    that have harmed Canada, perhaps irreparably. They will inevitably harm the United States as well,

     unless we learn from Canada's example.

    Lest our Canadian readers send angry emails,

    let me hasten to clarify that I recognize Canada as a friend

     and ally of the United States.

    And I know from corresponding with our many Canadian readers that most Canadians are far more conservative than their politicians and jurists.

    But most Canadian subscribers will agree that Canada,

     once a democracy, has effectively become
    a liberal Socialist nation.

     Canadian conservatives are appalled by that
    development.


    And US citizens should be alarmed by these facts.

    Among the states in our union,

    California has taken the lead in liberalism.


    They have over-taxed and over-regulated their citizens to the point where a revolution is brewing.

     Not the kind of revolution where an armed militia
    marches on the state capitol.

     But we recently saw Californians
    overwhelmingly approve a measure that affirmed marriage as being as God created it, between one man and one woman.

    By a large margin they rejected the perverted concept of homosexual "marriage." But even though Conservative
    Californians are finally taking action to rescue their state from the
    Socialists, they cannot erase the past.

    The fact is that California has for many years been the harbinger of dangerous liberal ideas and policies that have spread to the other states.

    Just as California has been an early-warning system

    of things to come for the other states,

    Canada seems to have taken on that role among the nations
    of North America.

     Over the years many of our sister nation's liberal
    attitudes and ideas have invaded our nation.

    Here are a few that I fear maytake hold in the United States if we are not vigilant.

    Great read, I hope we do have Canadians sending off emails, I pray they are as upset and angry as some of us are here.

         For too long we have been fat cats lounging in the sun, America speak up now or we will deserve the government we get. I watched a 1/2 hour clip of the U.K.s gov and HEARD. "I'm sorry we have too many bills to get through today to discuss this, vote now"  Is that what you want America Marxism, Fascism, Communism? America is quickly losing the thing that makes her the greatest Nation in the world.

         Why What is it that makes this land so great, it is that you can praise God, or Allah, or no god at all.

    It is that you can work in a factory then own your own factory, It is the fact that a student can learn Zen or History, or a million things.

     It is a family can have 2.3 kids and own 1.2 T.V.s is every home.

     If we lose these things that make U.S. great well then, I suppose it is no one but the ones who forgot to be diligent who shoulder the blame falls.

    We the People should have made a course correction before WW2.

     They did not WE MUST.

    URGENT 7/28: Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s efforts to ramrod his Energy Speculation Bill (S.3268) through the Senate have failed. Grassfire Team Members helped tremendously by calling upon the Senate to block cloture. We stopped Reid this time, but the real issue has not been addressed.

    FAX Harry Reid and the Senate, demanding that the Senate aggressively work to lift the ban on offshore drilling and find real solutions to our energy crisis before taking their month long recess.

    I know who judges fairly, we may never be a "fair" judge ourselves, but it is up to us to try to be a fair and balanced judge. Oh I know here we go "Judge not lest yea be judged" right? WRONG I will me measured by the same stick I judge with so therefor judge righteously, not foolishly. Don't squawk about not judging, if people do not judge daily then people would die like the moth drawn to the flame. We must judge; is their time to cross the street?, which meat looks better at the store, is this dress appropriate, did I study enough? And these judgments are either right or wrong. Go ahead the next interview you go on wear your favorite party outfit to it, see if you get called for the job, or use your judgment and think you know enough for the paper, your grade will show if you judged it correctly.

    Now that everyone understands they judge, do it with thought, with righteous measure be kind, and quick to forgive and long to understand. Be just if you are not involved in your country and her matters, that is the first sign to showing good judgment.

    AZTLAN.......real or NOT?!?!?

    The Fallacy of Aztlan

    There is much consternation and confusion over those portions of the united States claimed by the "Reconquistas", but one area is never mentioned in the confusion and consternation.

     

    First, on February 2, 1848, under the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo, http://www.loc.gov/exhibits/ghtreaty/, the united States PAID Mexico $15,000,000 to compensate her citizens for damages to private property during the war, which Mexico lost.  Mexicans who lived within the post-treaty border (the ceded 55% lands!) who did not wish to abide by the treaty signed by Mexico at the conclusion of this war could return to Mexico.  Those who elected to stay were offered citizenship in the united States but they had to disavow allegiance to Mexico.

     

    Second, on December 30, 1853, the united States PAID Mexico $10,000,000 for the lands commonly referred to as "The Gadsden Purchase," http://www.progress.org/gads.htm.  As any American schoolchild should know, the Gadsden Purchase was a real estate deal (just like the Louisiana Purchase and the Alaska Purchase) regarding a disputed strip of land across the bottom of Arizona and New Mexico where the border now lies.  This purchase became necessary because there was an oversight in the Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo regarding access to El Paso, Texas, by citizens in the ceded lands to those areas west of that city.  The united States PAID $10,000,000 for this 29,000-acre strip of land rather than get into another war and made the payment to the other country involved in the oversight:  Mexico.

     

    Money changed hands here, folks -- a fact that is conveniently forgotten by the “Reconquistas”.  For those who can't understand what I just wrote, I repeat:  in 1848, the united States PAID then-President of Mexico Santa Ana $15,000,000 for damaged Mexican private property as part of the treaty that also ceded to the US 55% of Mexican territories; in 1853, the united States PAID then-President of Mexico Santa Ana $10,000,000 in exchange for the lands commonly referred to as the Gadsden Purchase.  This is the same Santa Ana of Alamo and Battle of San Jacinto infamy.  If the $10,000,000 did not make its way into the coffers of Mexico for the benefit of the people of Mexico or if the government of Mexico did not pay the $15,000,000 to citizens of Mexico who sustained damage to their property during the fifty-year war between Mexico and the united States, that is not a problem that the united States needs to concern herself with.  That is Mexico’s business and her problem, if one exists.  The united States owns these lands the “Reconquistas” claim.

     

    Considering that no move has been made to honor the terms of previous loans to Mexico, I think it would be safe to assume that the "Reconquistas" have no intention of paying that money back or seeing that Mexico does so.  The sole argument of the “Reconquistas” is they want back land that was lost in a fifty-year war and/or purchased outright by the winner of the war, the united States. 

     

    If Mexico wants to pay back ALL loans to Mexico by the united States, whether as a good neighbor or a group member --- $1.6 billion in 2002 alone --- with interest from the date EACH loan was made to the date each is repaid, plus the aforesaid $25,000,000, with interest from the dates of each payment to the present, AND pay the current owners of private property in the lands the “Reconquistas” claim for themselves the value of their property before vandalizing and destruction by the influx of illegals, with interest and cost of all improvements and repairs of vandalism since purchase, from the date of each such improvement and/or repair, then MAYBE we have something to talk about.  Until then, the purported “Reconquistas” are bound by the terms of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo and the Gadsden Purchase to either put up or shut up:  stay as citizens of the united States (if that is indeed what they are) or return to Mexico!  In either case, if the “Reconquistas” don’t like what either country did, they have the right as well as obligation under the treaties to leave the united States instead of undermining the united States and destroying property --- and encouraging others to do so. 

     

    Put bluntly, they should renounce their American citizenship and return to the country they owe true allegiance or they should shut up!  No one will stop them from doing either.
