The Umoja Temple of Richmond, Virginia, maintains a creative space where the understanding and appreciation of African-centered spiritual and cultural traditions of living for African people throughout the Diaspora are explored, advocated and realized through effective, meaningful participation and growth by its members.

BLACK MARRIAGE DAY RVA (Richmond, VA) is one of the programs Umoja Temple has convened for the past six years, and their diligence continues this year with program number 7, on March 23.

That program will focus on the importance of stable, puposeful, value-based relationships for African people -- our peers, our children, our future, and the insidious/genocidal forces that work to undermine them. A "relationship roundtable" will be led by Sis. DiSheka Miller.

"Marriage does not belong soley to the couple, but to the community," will be a prominent theme for the gathering.

Join us on HC LIVE & DIRECT! as we explore the various dimensions and dynamics of this topic, as well as other aspects of the Umoja Temple, with temple organizers.
