Understanding My African Self - is the topic and discussion that the HC will be having with guest Zainab Kamarah. Ms Kamarah is a psychology major at VCU in Richmond Va; and is here to share, as well as discuss the psychological impact and relations to her connecting with what we call being African Americans. She was born in Sierra Leone, Africa and now resides in the U.S. and talks about the understanding of her African self awareness, self determination, cultural identity and values; as well as her relating to being an African - African American. Join in on this live discussion and share your viewpoints also, as we look into the challenging concepts of our own understandings of global African relations. Is it only what we choose to call ourselves, a lifestyle, or cultural commitment? Or is it a class factor that we have been placed in by others which creates the atmosphere as to how we view and define ourselves as a people? AFRICANs
