This show truly touched my heart. The more I speak with people, strong believers, the more I see that we are all on the same ship, just different cabins. Pain hurts regardless of the root. Rejection, disappointment, delayed and broken promises, and words all hurt. What touched me beyond what NavyWife was saying is that sin, ours and others effect the hell out of us, literally, and cause it to simmer to the surface. In rebuilding after my marriage ended I had to come to a point of understanding that there is no degree of sin. God looks no different at my ex-husband who was unfaithful than he does to my short comings and slothfulness in the marriage as well. If God so easily can say, receive my love, repent, and come towards me to others who have wounded me it had to be possible that I could do the same. The hole drilling to the root of my pain started when I was able to grasp that. This thing, salvation, is indeed an individual walk. Pastors, leaders, mates, family, and friends all the like will in some way come up short. If we put all of our trust in humanity we will indeed be disappointed. I do want the abundant life, spiritually, financially and God knows ROMANTICALLY And the moving forward and conquering of the fear only begins when I open my heart and life once again…Vulnerability can be scary, but you will never know what can be until you can receive God’s love and trust him with your vulnerability.
