You know the face, you probably know the name, and you should know the work. This week, Beer & Tall Buildings speaks with noted L.A. artist Jim Morphesis on the eve of his January 28th opening of new paintings at Garboushian Gallery in Beverly Hills. His face is already monumental among Angelinos: last November, an 84 Olympics-era mural by Kent Twitchell, which depicts Jim's visage was recently restored on the 101 Freeway. Now with the debut of roughly two dozen new pieces, we figured it was time to catch up with Morphesis to discuss his own work.
