Hi this is Barbara in Arizona and this is my opinion on Arizona’s AHCCCS (Medicaid Expansion bill H.B.2010) which was passed by the AZ senate and signed into law by the Governor.

A small group of Republicans are set on doing a referendum to get it on the ballot in November 2014. To them it’s beside the point that H.B. 2010 is a budget item within AHCCCS and according to the Arizona Constitution cannot be sliced and diced at the ballot box.

Ignoring all the facts, Medicaid expansion is part of AHCCCS which provides healthcare for qualified low income Arizonians and has been in place since around 2000.
