Guest:Carlos Amaral was inspired and challenged to get involved by his political science professor at Stephen F. Austin State University. After college, Carlos immediately got involved in the Civic Action Program (CAP) an organization sponsored by his employer. As CAP member,he participated in simulated campaigns and visited the Texas State Capitol to meet with the Texas legislators and discuss a broad range of topics.Mr. Amaral has worked/volunteered in several major campaigns including George H. Bush for President, and George W. Bush for Governor and President. Member of the McCain – Palin team (Hispanic outreach and the International policy). Governor Rick Perry re-election campaigns in 2002, 2006 and 2010,
He has collaborated/reviewed proposed immigration bills for Texans Congressmen and Senators. He has presented and participated on several panels deal with immigration and Hispanic outreach.He has been active in the Texas Republican Party, Republican National Committee, President Bush’s Victory Team, Sustaining member of NRCC, RNC Business Council, and National Republican Congressional Committee. He is a co-founding member of the Ronald Reagan Republicans Honor Roll at the NRCC.
