Cherokee is on the Hotwordz scene with a voice and lyrical talents which complement the soul of hip-hop. She is a songwriter and with each lyric expressing a quality of personal emotion of thoughts. Cherokee is the definition of writing as the sensation of her words lands in the key of song. It’s been a long while since I’ve heard a singer and songwriter with matching talents. When I heard “Cherry” I was surprised because believe me I had my doubts. She took a bite out of Frankie Valle and came up with nothing but freshness. Then I listened to “So Sugar Street” and delivered some old school favor. “Bubble Bath” tells a heartfelt story leaving me listening to the storyteller. Her latest song, “Is It Too Late” had me playing the song back to back to back. This song will have its debut on Hotwordz Lyrical Theater and I’m sure you would not want to fail to listen to the flair of Cherokee’s urban heat.
