    Brother Marquis is Da Messenger on HLT

    Up and coming gospel hip-hop artist Brother Marquis “Da Messenger” grew up in Savannah, Ga. At a young age his life was filled with the love of Christ and music. After years of writing poetry, he decided to branch into music becoming Da Messenger. (Isaiah 6:8) Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to the people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” In November of 2008, Da Messenger’s music hit the airwaves with song “Need Belief” playing on WEAS93.1 with Lester Gospel Radio Show. He opened up for the legendary Kurtis Blow. He has also performed at numerous gospel events around Savannah including the Boll Weevil 3rd Annual event in Pooler, Ga. His latest performance was at The Swagg House in Atlanta, Ga. He was well received performing his fan favorite song “All or Nothing” from his soon to be released album “Out Of The Darkness”. This album takes a look into the life of a young man experiencing the ups and downs of life finding his way back to Christ. While branched into The Den Entertainment, he is a young man with a dream giving today’s music purpose and the gift of Christ. In the words of Brother Marquis he is going for “All or Nothing” And now on November 18, 2009, Da Messenger is featured on Hotwordz Lyrical Theater. "IT'S A wednesday THING BABY"
