This is something that is new and different for me. I have never done this before, but it's always good to try something new and different. I decided that Every Sunday evening, I will share my poetry with the rest of the world on Internet Radio. Honestly, for those of you who don't know me, I am a composer of music, a pianist, a poet and a muse. Now, the story behind my moniker was nothing more than a desire to find myself. My roots are Greek but I embrace roots of all kinds. I am in touch with my culture, history and language. I am in love with it. I learn something new about it everyday. To go along with that, I learn about other people, cultures and perspectives everyday, too. I am in love with life and what it has to offer. Sophia is the name. The Greek word for wisdom. Holy Wisdom. I just wrote and published my first book, A Voice Over Time in 2007. But I want to take it further than where it is at this time. I have been told that poetry is a dying art. I don't think so. I think it's an art much like painting, or songwriting which I do a lot of as well as compose music.I honestly can tell you I'm a pianist and opera singer, too. I love what I do. I am here to make my dreams come true. I am embracing this thing called Radio because I want to reach the world. I don't know what this will bring, but poetry fused with radio is something really revolutionary in my mind, anyway. It's new, it's different and I think it's something people need. Something soothing at the end of the day for people to enjoy and embrace--to be in touch with who they are and find that piece of that little puzzle in their lives they don't know they are lacking.
