Let's talk Epilepsy-webinar on VNS, MRI guided surgery and more

Things I can't stress enough since beginning this journey.  Find yourself an Epileptologist and/or Epilepsy Center for treatment.  Second, go to Epilepsy Foundation and EpilepsyU websites/facebook for support, information and more.

These two things are so critical your sanity during a very overwhelming time in your life.  After my rant, I visit with some hot topics on these two websites.  Great info friends, great info.

The intention of this forum is to share information. For as long as epilepsy has been around it is amazing how little is known, understood and shared.  I have found the best places for information is through the Epilepsy Foundation's chat rooms, Epilepsy Facebook pages and local support groups. It is my hopes that this will become another place to support those who have or lend support to those with epilepsy.  

I am a newbie to this scene with my teenage daughter in her first year with epilepsy.  I am shocked at how difficult it has been to navigate the medical and educational systems.  Systems that should be supportive to this condition.  

So let's talk about epilepsy and share information that can help us all move forward.

Thank you to all who post information in forums.  Your wisdom and sharing has greatly benefited our family in coming to better understand epilepsy and all that goes with it.
