Queen Quet, Chieftess of the Gullah/Geechee Nation host "Gullah/Geechee Riddim Radio" on behalf of the Gullah/Geechee Sea Island Coalition. www.gullahgeechee.net This month the broadcast are part of "Archival April" which is presenting materials from the Coalition's "Alkebulan Archive" which is the ONLY archive in the world totally dedicated to Gullah/Geechee history, heritage, and culture. Queen Quet will take the listeners on a journey through the story of Tunis Campbell and his stand for self-determination and land ownership in the Gullah/Geechee Nation. She will also discuss the continuing legacy of self-determination in the Gullah/Geechee Nation and how this movement took hold when she went to the United Nations on April 1, 1999. Tune een!
