Greetings, everyone. Brian Sapinski back once again. Things got so out of sorts last week that I didn't even get to discuss the rules of our 6th event of the Game Show Summer Olympics: DUELFirst, the rules:> Each player begins the duel with 10 chips.> A question is asked with 4 possible answers. Each player may choose any or all of the answers by playing a chip on each answer they feel may be the right answer. When a player has decided their answer, they will press a button on their phone keypad to lock in. Both players will then state their chosen answers in turn after both players have locked in.> Each player has one oppotunity during the duel to "press" their opponent by saying "press" after they lock in (and are the first to do so). If pressed, the opponent has 7 seconds to verbally state their answers. Only answers stated in the 7 seconds will count.> When a player answers a question right, they keep that chip, but lose any chips placed on wrong answers.> If the player fails to place a chip on the right answer, they lose.HOW TO WIN:1) Answer the question right when your opponent misses.2) Have the most chips saved after a maximum of 8 questions.> Each chip remaining pays C$250 to any surviving player.> In the event of a tie, be it by an equal number of chips remaining, or by both players getting the question wrong, a shootout question is played. Each player gets 4 chips of no value to answer with. Same rules apply as before, but if both players answer correctly, whoever used fewer chips is declared the winner.THE MAX QUESTION ROUND:> The winner plays a maximum of 2 questions.> For each question, the player receives one chip, and must answer within 7 seconds.> If the first question is answered correctly, the player wins C$2,500. They may then choose to keep the money, or risk it for a chance to win C$10,000 on the second question. Now with the rules in place, here were the official results:GAME #1 - Trevor Lake vs. Alan MatsugiSPECIAL NOTE: Due to scheduling conflicts caused by the rescheduling of this episode, this game was played off the air.
