    Original Air Date:

Game Show Summer Olympics Preliminary Round 8

Your Number's Up will be this week's event for the Game Show Summer Olympics. After this event, the top 6 contestants will be determined to advance to next week's Gold Medal Finals.

  • Date / Time:

Game Show Summer Olympics - Event #8 - YOUR NUMBER'S UP

Greetings once again. We are now prepared to reveal the final preliminary event for the Game Show Summer Olympics: YOUR NUMBER'S UP. After this event, we will determine our Top 6 who will advance to the Gold Medal Finals on September 3rd.

For this competition, the matchups will be decided according to the ranks of our 12 players in the tournament upon the conclusion of the final Who, What or Where Game match. Also, Bobby P's unfinished Duel bonus round will be conducted off the air during this week in order to save time for this week's match. The matchup combinations will be posted here on the website on Monday.

Now for the rules and modifications to the 1985 Nipsey Russell game show:

    MAIN GAME
    > Each of the 3 players start the match with C$100.
    > Each player is designated 3 numbers: Player 1 plays the numbers 1, 4 & 7. Player 2 covers 2, 5 & 8. Player 3 gets 3, 6, & 9.
    > On each spin of the wheels, 2 consecutive numbers are spun. The players with these numbers will face off to answer a riddle. The odd player out chooses the riddle they will answer from a choice of 2.
    > The first player to buzz in with a right answer wins C$100, while a wrong answer costs C$100. If neither player gets the riddle right, the odd player receives C$50.
    > After the faceoff, the odd player then answers the remaining riddle unopposed for +/-C$50.
    > Scattered on the wheel are 0's. If a 0 is spun, all 3 players are involved in the faceoff. The number that comes up with the 0 determines which player chooses the first riddle and gets to answer the follow-up.
    > The first player to reach C$500 wins the game.

    BONUS ROUND
    > The winner must crack a 4-digit code within 2 minutes.
    > The player chooses a number from 0 to 9, and is then asked a riddle. A correct answer wins the digit if it is in the code, and the player calls out a new number. The code itself has 4 different digits.
    > If the player finds all 4 digits, he must then use any time remaining to place the 4 digits in the correct order. As a help, the first digit will be identified if the player offers a guess with that correct digit in place.
    > The first 3 digits of the code that are captured are worth C$500, with the 4th digit paying C$1,000. Finding the code withing 2 minutes increases the player's total winnings to C$10,000.

So whose numbers will be up? Tune in Wednesday night for the final flurries.
