Dating a Married/Separated Man: Do you listen to his words or his actions?

Sponsored by Benita's Natural Spa product's..Item of the week Aromatherapy Gift set.
What do you think about a guy who wants to share everything with you but himself? He says that after his divorce he is not trying to rush into a relationship.  Which is more than fair as I am not particularly looking to rush into something with a divorced father of two with financial issues. But I like him.  He calls daily and wants to share his ups and downs, tells me his fears, seeks encouragement and comfort, wants to celebrate accomplishments and everything that you do with a mate.  Offers comfort and advice and listens to me.  He takes me out on the regular.  I look forward to hearing from him. On the other hand, he is so afraid of a relationship that I have to watch how I phrase things so that he won't freak out. I say something and he tells me that he thinks I am wonderful and perfect for him and so on and so on.  Yet he wants me to date other people and I do.  But he doesn't want to hear about when I do and this last time when I said I had company he continued to call and text the whole time.  Am I missing something here, do you listen to his words or his actions?
