    Thanks for a great show!

The first show was a huge success!  John and I certainly enjoyed our end of it.  We had 3 callers and one instant messenger who contributed to our dialog on the purpose of life.  Each person brought a unique perspective to the conversation and this diversity of opinion and experiences made the show all the richer.  Jerry, Vida, Tosha and Greg: Thank you for showing up so beautifully.  I am deeply grateful for your active support for the first segment of The Growth and Gratitude Hour!  I invite you to listen, call, or message me about the show anytime you want.  In fact, everyone is invited to be part of the The Growth and Gratitude Hour.  Together, we will make it great.

Already I have received some constructive feedback from a friend who listened in last night.  I welcome this information and I'm taking it to heart, seeking ways to incorporate her idea because what she told me resonated and felt true to me.  She said that there may have been some listeners who did not feel confident enough to call in, especially since the first two callers seemed so well-versed in a discussion of last night's magnitude.  I think she might be on to something there.  I'll be looking for ways to open the conversation even more so that ANYONE listening who has an insight or (in this scenario, even more important) a QUESTION will feel inspired to call.

I am willing to try a few different approaches to making the show as welcoming as possible for as many listeners as I can attract.  I am also willing to consider that over time, as listeners tune in to other show topics and get to know me a little more, some of them will be more comfortable to reach out.  I do realize that on this first show, everyone who phoned in and wrote had already connected with me in person or through comments exchanged in the blogosphere.  So, there was already some degree of familiarity that may have supported those people in reaching out on the first night.  Still, those who called in exhibited leadership and passion for the topic.  Thanks to my dear friend who offered such candid feedback.  Your support is evidence of the connection we all share and the abundance of resource available to us all.

I'll be posting some resources that pertain to the first segment of the show by the end of the weekend, so check back later for a list of my favorite books, some links to the people and resources I mentioned, and more information on upcoming shows!

    All the best,
    Char
