"It has been called an epidemic, a silent scourge and a bigger problem than illegal drugs."  A growing number of victims of prescription narcotic abuse never choose to take the powerful painkillers - they are babies of pregnant mothers addicted to Vicodin, OxyContin, morphine and methadone."  Journal Gazette

My guest Mary Calhoun Brown of Lily's Place, a new pediatric addiction recovery center in Huntington, West Virginia, will be sharing with us all that we need to know to better understand this heartbreaking epidemic.

As an author and passionate advocate for all people, Mary Calhoun Brown has helped spearhead the opening and operations of Lily's Place. Only the second of its kind in the United States - its medical and clinical team has over 130 years of expertise in the care of babies suffering from Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome or drug addiction.

Lily's Place is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2013.
