‘’On the evening of Jesus of Nazareth’s death, Peter struggles with his faith that a man can live again rise from the grave, he viewed death as an end not a beginning. Satan seeks to sift him like wheat But the Savior has prayed’’, Luke 22:31-32.

Hello everyone this is the Grover Weaver Ministries.org's Blogtalk Radio Program weekly commentary on the International Sunday School Lesson on Mark 14:29-31; 66-72 for the week of March 20, 2016. I am Grover Weaver your minister and Sunday School teacher. Welcome to the broadcast.

The narration is from the last night of Jesus earthly life this cup he is to drink is the reason he came into the world to be the sacrificial lamb of the Passover He sups with the Twelve in the Upper Room. The supper is the sacrament for the crucifixion; the bread is the body that was broken for us; the wine is the blood that is shed and splatted on the Mercy Seat by Him for the sinner.

After the meal was completed, he rose and washed the feets of the disciples and then they sung a hymn and went out in the night in the Mount of Olives...

Jesus was very solemn in his speech as they walked out of the Upper Room and entered into the night along the path to the Garden of Gethsemane, He said to them from Mark 14:27-28 of the Amplified Bible (AMP)

27...“You will all fall away [and be ashamed and be afraid to be associated with Me as disciples], because it is written, ‘’I will strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered.‘’  But after I have been raised [from the dead], I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”...
