Tonight! Country Singer Tara Priest!
Tara was born in Tupelo, MS in a home surrounded by music. Her dad, Jerry Nolan was a Country Singer/Musician on the early scene in Nashville, TN. He once worked with artists such as Tanya Tucker and Merle Haggard. Naturally, Tara began singing at age 5 for the congregation at the small Baptist church in which she attended. Upon catching the inevitable urge to perform, she was a member of Campus Country. This was a music group at the Junior College she attended in North Mississippi.
Later, in Birmingham, AL 2006, Tara was a chosen as 1 of 140 in 11,000 of American Idol hopefuls to compete in the hit show. She has since been singing professionally with her band in Tupelo, MS as well as guest singer with other acts all over the south. She is often asked to sing at high profile parties, charity, and corporate events. Craig Morgan is among several musicians Tara has opened for recently.
Two years ago, she was introduced to Producer Jeff Huskins of Nashville, TN. A talented musician and performer, Jeff achieved numerous hits on the Country charts in the 90’s with the band, Little Texas. With the help of he and publisher Christie DiNapoli, 11 songs were chosen for her to record. Songwriters such as Karyn Rochelle, (Georgia Rain, Trisha Yearwood), James Gilreath (Little Band of Gold) also christened the project with very soothing original ballads. The album features an original duet with multi platinum country star, Tim Rushlow accompanied by some of the most noted studio musicians in Nashville.
