Season by Season Organic Farm, Urban Agriculture comes to Racine WI. We are turning depleted corn field into a Urban Organic Farm. This 10 acre corn field -- used for the last 30 years for only corn grown using chemicals and Herbicides -- will be turn*ed* into an Organic Urban Farm. We are also looking at renting further depleted fields Season by Season plans to restore the soil using Green Manure and grow organically produce for the Inner city food desert that is Racine WI Right now we are just using hand tools and strong backs. We need to obtain at least one rototiller a few wheelbarrows and solar panels to power a drip irrigation system. We also want to start a large scale composting/vermicomposting operation to help proved an income to the farm. Another operation is grow Prairie Flowers native to this area of Wisconsin for flower/seed sales We plan to buy Rototiller(s) Solar Panels for drip irrigation system Solar Panels for Water pumps Hoop House constitution materials Seeds Organic growing Media Rental of space for the indoor grow Hydroponic equipment to continue to grow in Fall/Winter Books and other equipment to teach/share what we learn
