Good to See You Again Brethren,

Setting about the work of freemasonry and achieve great things, depends largely on the capacity of our organization to work together.  We need a strong, stable, well informed grass roots. We need leadership that has the confidence of the membership and the courage to act.

We also need to ensure our membership receives information they need is available in a timely way, so we are all invested in the discussions taking place. To my mind, that will reinforce the connect ions between freemasons and with freemasonry and allow us to support the change we need to adapt to the 21st Century.

Funny the things you notice when you take a moment to be quiet and listen. Like they way masons stubbornly resist change because of the effect on them- without much care for the effect on the Order at large.  To my mind, this means we have failed that mason. We have failed to instill a sense of our obligation to the Constitutional Principles and we have failed to teach him how important he is to the future of our Fraternity.

I remember that some men take longer than others to grasp an idea.  We must learn to be patient with initial dissention.

As you know, I believe use of authority is a failure of leadership. Effective leadership requires common purpose to inspire the foot soldiers, or in fraternal terms, the Master Masons  so they can support the vision and our Leaders. Just like you and me and everyone else, leadership is a work-in-progress.

Find your most comfortable chair, turn down the lights and fill your cup with a favorite  Kool-Aid and we'll have another  chat...

Sincere and fraternal regards,

Graham
