Colleen Mook is a mother of four children and self-described “glass-is-half-full” kind of girl. She is also the Founder and President of Baby Be Hip, a web-based retailer of personalized baby gifts whose products have been featured in American Baby and Baby Talk Magazines and, just recently, Good Morning America.
Colleen started Baby Be Hip in 2002 after nearly a decade in the corporate world. She has since grown the company to five employees, a 2,500-square foot facility and six-figure annual revenues.
She is a member of Count Me In for Women’s Economic Independence and was recently named a Make Mine a Million Dollar Business Award winner. She takes an active role in mentoring young women and other small business owners. Her passion is empowering others by conveying the principles that have fueled her success, whether one-on-one or in a crowded auditorium.
Colleen has also taken a leadership role in her community, speaking publicly about her experiences with her daughter Ellie’s special needs and educating children about differences, respect and tolerance. She is also a co-founder of Sunshine Hope, a social enterprise focused on teaching people how to use hope as a tool to overcome challenges.
