Where You Been?

Yes, it's been a while since I hosted a show - a rather long time as a matter of fact. Well when I first started this, I didn't realized just how much work it would take. Since my last one or two shows from 2008, what I've been rethinking the direction of Got ISH-OOS? against  the status quo for "how to do" Internet talk radio shows.

I'm not looking to "make it big" or "attract a large crowd". In my heart, I know that there are a small number of people out there, who need to hear what I have to say. So as I "begin again", I realize now that I need to follow my heart and ultimately do what works for me.

With that said, I am implementing the following changes with the "Got ISH-OOS?" broadcast:

  1. All "Got ISH-OOS?" shows will be prerecorded.  If you've never tried this before, hosting your own show is a lot of work for one person.  So by taking this appraoch, it will saves me a lot of time and headache, especially since so much can go wrong doing a live show. This *new* way will allow me to (a) get the hard work out of the way by prerecording nearly 99% of all of my shows and (b) give my full attention via chat to you - my listeners - tuning in.
  2. Everytime a new show is posted,  we'll chat about it.... Provided there are no emergencies or hail storms :-).....The first time a new show is posted, during its first airing, I will open a chatroom on my show page where listeners (with BlogTalkRadio accounts) can login and chat with me while listening to the show.
  3. All shows will be presented in as a "listen-learn-apply" fashion.  Consider Got ISH-OOS? as that self-help book that you've always searched for but could never find.  Well now you have found it!
  4. This isn't a "tell me what I want to hear, not what I need to hear" show. Although I do want people to feel better about themselves and their lives, sometimes we have issues that are deep below the surface. This means that deliverance from those issues will likely be a long process that requires going through the pain to get to the other side. ("Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning").

I look forward to our future journey together and remember to stay tune for upcoming epsiodes of "Got ISH-OOS?". TTYS!!!!

P.S. Don't forget!!! - I am working on a new series called "Faith in the Midst of Family Mess." It will be out between late April and mid-May (2009), so stay tuned, 'cause you don't want to miss it! Its gonna be so ggggggggggggggggooooooooooooodddddddddddddddddddddddddd!!!!!!
