got ISH-OOS?™ Host

Thank you to those who reached out to me, both clergy and victims alike, regarding my domestic violence show. All I can say is "To God be the Glory!" because that was the hardest show to deliver. Please don't forget about the many victims that still need help. I hope to do a FYI follow-up interview show in the near future. Godspeed and thanks for tuning in to "GOT ISH-OOS?"

got ISH-OOS?™ by Minister Jaketha

Got ISH-OOS?™ is an original Christian Internet talk radio broadcast designed for weary and heavy-laden individuals who want a break in life. Typically listeners are in need of someone who cares about their issues and who is wiling to be open and honest about the very issues that we are all quietly struggling with each week as we leave the four walls of our local churches. This seasonal, theme-based, goal-oriented broadcast addresses personal issues, such as depression, bad relationships and many other important issues that are silently wrecking havoc within the Christian community. Got ISH-OOS?™ is planted on Proverb 4:23, which states: “Guard your heart for out of it flows the issues of life”. The Show Host is Minister Jaketha Farmer ( http://www.jaketha.com ), who is also the Founding Pastor and Program Coordinator of the “40 Days of Change” (40DC) online network ( http://40daychallenge.ning.com ). The overall objective of 40DC is to help certain weary believers’ identify, clarify and learn how to walk in their God-given destiny. 40DC offers interactive and practical life application training to its community members. Through services, such as the “40-Day Challenge”, any Christian who is “weary” or “weary in well-doing” yet is ready, willing and able to get online and get energized right into their next level, their next dimension or the next realm should seriously consider joining us. Membership is free for first-time applicants. To sign up for 40DC or for details, visit http://www.jaketha.com/40days/. Furthermore, in 2010, Minister Jaketha will start a self-publishing company and release her first book, a spiritual memoir entitled “The House of Jezebel”. It will share personal anecdotes, examples & success stories that expose Jezebellian values for faith-based values resulting in a life of renewed hope, deliverance & destiny. Again, thanks for tuning in!

    Where You Been?

Yes, it's been a while since I hosted a show - a rather long time as a matter of fact. Well when I first started this, I didn't realized just how much work it would take. Since my last one or two shows from 2008, what I've been rethinking the direction of Got ISH-OOS? against  the status quo for "how to do" Internet talk radio shows.

I'm not looking to "make it big" or "attract a large crowd". In my heart, I know that there are a small number of people out there, who need to hear what I have to say. So as I "begin again", I realize now that I need to follow my heart and ultimately do what works for me.

With that said, I am implementing the following changes with the "Got ISH-OOS?" broadcast:

    1. All "Got ISH-OOS?" shows will be prerecorded.  If you've never tried this before, hosting your own show is a lot of work for one person.  So by taking this appraoch, it will saves me a lot of time and headache, especially since so much can go wrong doing a live show. This *new* way will allow me to (a) get the hard work out of the way by prerecording nearly 99% of all of my shows and (b) give my full attention via chat to you - my listeners - tuning in.
    2. Everytime a new show is posted,  we'll chat about it.... Provided there are no emergencies or hail storms :-).....The first time a new show is posted, during its first airing, I will open a chatroom on my show page where listeners (with BlogTalkRadio accounts) can login and chat with me while listening to the show.
    3. All shows will be presented in as a "listen-learn-apply" fashion.  Consider Got ISH-OOS? as that self-help book that you've always searched for but could never find.  Well now you have found it!
    4. This isn't a "tell me what I want to hear, not what I need to hear" show. Although I do want people to feel better about themselves and their lives, sometimes we have issues that are deep below the surface. This means that deliverance from those issues will likely be a long process that requires going through the pain to get to the other side. ("Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning").

I look forward to our future journey together and remember to stay tune for upcoming epsiodes of "Got ISH-OOS?". TTYS!!!!

    ~Jaketha

P.S. Don't forget!!! - I am working on a new series called "Faith in the Midst of Family Mess." It will be out between late April and mid-May (2009), so stay tuned, 'cause you don't want to miss it! Its gonna be so ggggggggggggggggooooooooooooodddddddddddddddddddddddddd!!!!!!
