Church hurts can be one of the toughest wounds to heal from. I too experienced a church hurt about three years ago that caused me to want to leave the church BUT NOT God. It took much prayer, God intervention, and Christian Professional counseling to truly be healed from that situation. I am the CEO of A Time To Heal. This initiate helps people to work through issues such as these. One can learn more about the initiative by viewing www.myspace.com/lashawnmyers. There are many people who are hurting in the church. I believe God does not want us to suffer in silence. It is a blessing to see someone speaking up on the issue. God Bless Min. LaShawn Myers, LLMSW

He is an inner-city kid abandoned by his mother, doesn't know his father, borderline juvenile delinquent, two mistakes away from an adult charge, in and shuffled around the foster and social services care system. Some would say a troubled youth, some would say dealt a bad hand, but all would say needs some help. At 9 years old Lil Jimmy was adopted by his natural grand father Tha Ole Man who has been giving Lil Jimmy a balance of discipline, love, structure, mentorship, understanding, communication, education, patients, and respect. Now Lil Jimmy is contributing to the other half of this on going story using positive hip-hop from a kid's perspective. Through Lil Jimmy's album "Growing Pains." The show was good tonight. I didn't get the opportunity to share how I knew God's vision for my life was to give children charity events to those didn't have a mother, but it was the losing of two children 15 and 23 car accident and Road Rage that allowed me to know what my ministry was. It was very painful in losing my children. My daughter left 3 children behind, I always loved children and thru this experience I became a Youth Philanthropist and a great author and inspirational writer, because I was a target to lose my mind by satan. But the grace of God was sufficient for me, and it was such a blessing for him to hide me under the shadow of his almighty wings, through hurt, confusion, wanting to give up, no support from others watching others selfishness and greed. I could have given up but God thrush me forward and now these children events has hospitals sponsering them. I thank God for my ministery to cater to children that no longer have a mother. And I enjoyed the words of wisdom from each one on your show. God bless you.

The Bible says that each one of us is fearfully and wonderfully made. God’s creative process delivers each one of us into life as a Champion. God delivers a Champion into this world and then the negative beliefs and stereotypes of the world start messing with the Champion. After a few years of being immersed in negativity, the Champion loses hope and becomes a loser. Rejoice in your place as a Champion. Don’t let anyone steal it from you. Remember…Champions are born, losers are made.

When the Church Becomes Your Party is Pollard's behind-the-scenes look at contemporary gospel music, the first book (to my knowledge) to focus its lens exclusively on the multi-faceted gospel scene of today. According to the press release, "Although the flashy clothing, informal language, and elaborate stage presentation found in some of the newest gospel music may surprise some worshippers, author Deborah Smith Pollard argues that this new aesthetic rests on the same Christian principles as more traditional forms and successfuly extends gospel's message to a wider and younger audience."

Andre Butler has opted out of this recession. In his latest book entitled NOT IN MY HOUSE: Take the 28-Day Challenge to Recession-Proof Your Future (Higher Life, $14.99, Feb. 1, 2009), he declared no fear, no debt and no recession will affect him or anyone else who embraces this faith-filled message. With over 95% of Believers in debt and the economy witnessing the worst job market, foreclosure and bankruptcy rates since the Great Depression, Butler’s groundbreaking book is the watershed word needed to bail out individuals drowning in debt and suffering from fear caused by economic uncertainty.
