    Goodway Landscape - The beautiful side of nature

    Goodway Landscaping Waterfalls : Monrovia Organics Potting Soil – plants that are grown in containers have special requirements for moisture, drainage and nutrition. Our new potting soil has just the right porosity to ensure excellent drainage, and a fast-acting organic fertilizer to help plants get off to a healthy start. Our Potting Soil is ideal for all types of container growing including:

    * Indoor container growing and houseplants
    * Hanging baskets
    * All outdoor containers
    * Raised bed gardens

    We prune plants to make them more beautiful, to encourage flowering, and to help them grow strong and healthy. Some trees and shrubs need never be pruned while others require a seasonal cutting.

    Goodway Landscaping Gardens

    Proving that elegance and simplicity never go out of style, classic gardens are all about symmetry and balance. They can be very formal, with strong architectural features, or they can be somewhat softer and more lavishly floral. Neatly manicured, the classic style is often accented by topiaries and framed by distinct edges and walkways. A fountain is often the focal point of this style.

    In the early 1990s, we began incorporating slow-release fertilizer into the soil, which reduced the amount of nitrogen fertilizer – a source of greenhouse emissions – by 75 percent.

    We carefully track the nutritional status of our plants to avoid over-application of fertilizers, which is wasteful and harmful to the environment. By carefully monitoring fertility levels in the soil, we have been able to cut the amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied through the irrigation water by an additional 50%.

    Jeff Zima Landscaping Our Integrated Pest Management program relies on predatory insects to reduce pests, with weekly applications of various beneficial insects and bacteria, such as beneficial spider mites to treat pest spider mites and whitefly, beneficial nematodes for control of insects, beneficial fungi or bacteria for the control of various diseases and insects and beneficial wasps to control aphids and red scale.

    One key focus of our new plant introductions is to find plants with a high degree of natural pest and disease resistance, thereby reducing the need for pesticide application both at our nursery and in the home landscape.

    About Jeff Zima In the spirit of getting started with your project, there are several steps that need to be taken in order to achieve the quality landscaping your deserve. Please visit the links to the right to see some of the steps that are taken to meet your goals.
