Blackness Yes is a community-based committee that works year-round to celebrate Black queer and Trans history, creativity and resistance. Its mandate is to create a space for LGBTTIQQ folks of African descent and their friends, loved ones and supporters. Blackness Yes also creates an annual stage at the Toronto Pride festival called Blockorama. This year will be Blockorama's 15th Anniversary. Next Friday February 22nd, 2013, at Club120 in Toronto (owned by Mandy Goodhandy and Todd Klinck), Blackness Yes is holding a fundraiser for Blockorama's 15th Anniversary stage which will be held in June 2013. One of the DJs at this fundraiser, who has been actively involved with Blocko festivities, is Craig Dominic. Mandy Goodhandy and Todd Klinck are joined by Craig Dominic in this podcast.
A little about Craig: Craig has been DJing since late 2007. His signature 'Jack of all trades' style has given a new perspective on the DJ scene blending top 40, urban(R&B & Hip Hop, etc), EDM & more into one cohesive experience. He has DJ'd countless special events, countless venues and still continues to have his residencies, currently at Crews & tango on Thursdays & Saturdays.
